Dear Adult Learner,

Have you wanted to read and appreciate The Odyssey, or Beowulf, or A Midsummer Night’s Dream? Classics like the ancient epics and Shakespeare’s plays are part of the underlying form of our modern storytelling sensibilities. You don’t need to be in school to enjoy and study the classics; you may simply need a knowledgeable guide with an abiding passion for them. That’s me. I serve adult learners with as much care, curiosity, and expertise as I apply to young students. And the program of reading the book can be as rigorous or relaxed as you wish it to be. Do you want to read Dante’s Inferno, take notes, and write an essay analyzing it to reinvigorate your academic mind? Would you rather enjoy it in a small group, often reading aloud and stopping to discuss along the way?
